What this site collects, why it needs it, and who else sees it. Last updated 29 August 2026.
This is a small music studio, not an advertising business. Nothing here is sold, shared for marketing, or fed to an analytics service. The information below is collected because the site cannot do what you asked without it.
What is collected, and why
When you book a conversation
Your name, email address, phone number, which instrument you are interested in, and anything you write in the message box. Age and level are optional.
The email address is confirmed with a code before the time is held. That is there to stop invented addresses taking real times out of the calendar, not to collect anything extra.
When you buy something
Your name, email address, and delivery address. Card details are never sent to this site — payment happens on Stripe's own pages, and what comes back here is whether the payment succeeded.
When you have an account
Your username, name, email address and phone number. If you are a student, also your lessons, attendance and invoices.
When you just visit
The theme you chose and your cookie decision, both stored on your own device. The web server keeps ordinary access logs — address, page, time — as any web server does.
There is no tracking, no advertising, and no analytics of any kind. Every cookie this site sets is listed here.
Who else sees it
Three companies, each for one job, and only the part they need:
- Stripe — handles payment. Your name, email and delivery address go to them so a card payment can be taken. Card numbers never touch this site.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google. They confirm who you are; this site receives your name and email address and nothing else. Not using that button means Google is not involved.
- The email provider — delivers confirmations and reminders, so it necessarily sees your address and what the message says.
Nobody else. No data broker, no mailing list, no advertising network.
How long it is kept
- Booking inquiries — kept while there is a reason to, so a conversation can be followed up.
- Orders and invoices — kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Accounts — kept until you ask for the account to be removed.
- Confirmation codes — a few minutes, then gone. The code itself is never stored in a readable form.
What you can ask for
Whatever country you are in, you may ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are in the UK or EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you those rights explicitly; if you are in California, so does the CCPA. In practice the answer here is the same wherever you are: ask, and it is done.
Some things cannot be deleted immediately — a paid invoice has to be kept for tax purposes. Where that applies you will be told which record and why.
Get in touch to ask for any of this.
Children
Lessons are taught to children, and a parent or guardian should be the one making the booking and holding the account. If a child has given information here without a parent knowing, say so and it will be removed.
If this page changes
The date at the top changes with it. Nothing already collected is used for a new purpose without asking you first.
